“Science for Fun” activity programme for First Year Students

This event is over.

Date:Thursday October 4 2018

Time:13:15 - 14:35

Location:St. Paul's Community College, Waterford

Students are introduced to the maths side of the Junior Cert Science Curriculum (Force, Acceleration, Gravity, Newtons Laws, Mass, Volume, etc.) by engaging in space related activities in the Science room. The background is set around the Apollo missions to the Moon in the 1960’s and students build and decorate their own water rockets which we launch on the school pitch at the end of the programme. The programme actually runs over 3 weeks with three double class periods and with the help of teachers and parents.
