Donabate Portrane Educate Together are celebrating Space Week with a number of events:
– The Exploration Dome will be visiting the school and each class will be exploring the stars, planets and astronomy.
– 6th class will be engaging with a Skype call with Cian O’Reagan. Cian spent the summer working with NASA and ESA representatives to develop a model to that would help humans get to the moon and the children have lots of questions for him.
-Lots of classes are exploring Space through a variety of curricular subjects, e.g. Art, Music, Science, Geography, History, English and even Gaeilge. Senior students will be studying the story of Chris Hadfield through Irish.
– Astronomy Club is also taking place as an after-school activity.
